The Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse-Coastal Bend is a
nonprofit corporation governed by a local 9-member board of Directors. This
Board creates and defines the mission and policies of the Council, then conveys
these policies to the Executive Director for action. The Board membership
represents a cross segment of our society. Among the members can be found
members of Alcoholics Anonymous, the business community, clergy, alcohol and
drug abuse professionals, teachers, medical professionals and other dedicated
community citizens. The Executive Director manages the day-to-day activities of
The Council along with a dedicated staff of highly trained, credentialed and
qualified personnel continually working to improve their knowledge, skills,
talents and abilities.
