A Message From the Executive Director
Friends and Neighbors,
When a person works for a non-profit, it doesn't matter what their title is because they are there to serve. I feel honored to be charged with leading this organization as we serve an often-overlooked population and their families. The Council has been in the Coastal Bend for over 65 years, and this is what we know:
+ No one wants to find themselves or a loved one needing our intervention or treatment services.
+ Changing the way, we live is hard.
+ Paying for help is harder.
+ And doing anything on your own is the hardest.
This is what you should know: We are here. And we work together every day to become this community's first thought of a strong, viable, and accessible resource.
"Offering hope and healing for those in need." is more than just our slogan - it is the foundation of this organization. Whether you are questioning if any of our services are right for you or a loved one or if you're part of our community's legal and judicial sector that advocates for the health and improvement of your fellow citizens, I urge you to give us a call and learn how we can serve you.
Sincerely,
Melissa Sweeting, LBSW
